Here is Sabrina’s “Take” on ‘The Gathering’ by Kelley Armstrong – Book Review by Sabrina
Adult Books / June 30, 2014

I really liked the main character, Maya’s personality and overall view of like. Sometimes I think authors make drama about situations (such as being adopted) where there isn’t a need and I loved that Maya seemed to have a healthy attitude about her situation. Also, I loved that she was just a super strong character who could take care of herself but embraced her friendships and let them help. I think there were parts of the writing that made it a little hard to really get into and kind of not connect or something. I am interested to see where the series goes.  It was an interesting idea and I always love the “skin walker” Native American kind of stories. I felt that the quality of writing left a little to be desired. I was never drawn into the story completely but I like it well enough to want to read the next one and see where it goes.  I gave this book 3.5 stars   PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE. In your book, you stated you were born with light brown skin and blue eyes and your Dad immediately thought the worst and never held you again or showed you any type of affection. Are your eyes still blue?  Is this an unusual occurrence? Explain.  No, within weeks my eyes turned dark brown. To understand dad’s decision, you need to understand the historical mores and politics of the period.  You further need to understand that plantations were “built in” brothels for plantation owners. Today we know from the study of genetics that 80% of all babies are born with blue eyes, especially when there is a mixture in the bloodline and that mixture can reach…

‘Priced to Move’ by Ginny Aiken – book review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 27, 2014

This was a fun, “clean” Novel of a young woman who loves her career but her love of God and her Aunt is stronger. When need arises, she returns to her ‘roots’ to aid her aunt. From this point,  action, mystery, and romance ensues. Ginny Aiken successfully adds humor to the whole situation which causes the characters to become endearing to the reader. It was fairly predictable but was well worth reading. The book cover is eye-catching and clever as is the title. My review of this novel offers a solid Four Stars rating. Laurie Payne reads on CD ‘Undercurrents’ by Traci Hunter Abramson – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 27, 2014

This was the first of a wonderful series by Traci Hunter Abramson…I am “hooked”! This is a fast-paced, exciting series fr Christians and non-Christians alike. Although the main characters are religious, there is plenty of “real life” evil and adventure as well. As a child, Crystal had lost her mother to cancer. Her father raised her by himself then died the summer after her high school graduation. She only had her best friend – and boyfriend – to help her through it all. Then the unthinkable happened…While she was at his apartment, two strange men arrived. Serving as a police undercover agent, he knew the danger and sent Crystal to his bedroom and locked her in. Listening through the door, she head very little except the definite sound of a gun shot. She quickly hid in an attic compartment in his storage closet. Breaking into the room, the two men searched for her but had to leave at the sounds of sirens. When she was sure it was safe, she climbed down and rushed to her boyfriend’s side who was now on a stretcher. He said a few words briefly to her before he fell unconscious…she was confused at their…

The Phenominal & Patriotic ‘Black Dad-White Dad: The James Womack Story’ by James Womack & Anna Allen – Book Reiew by LAWonder10 **Note: Interview to be held with this author, June 30, 2014!
Adult Books , Non- Fiction / June 26, 2014

I searched my shelves for a book I felt would even remotely fit int o a “Freedom” blog hop and decided this may “fit the bill”. How little did I know how very appropriate it would be! This is not only the astounding story of a black man growing up during the Jim Crow period of unrest in Mississippi/Louisiana, but of a individual awakened to new truths and a strong appreciation for America and its Constitution. James Womack – born in 1940 – tells of his, spiritual & intellectual growth and of his humiliations, pain, and unlimited challenges. As one who thought I understood the horrors of WWW11 & the Viet Nam war, I had a rude awakening to how very brutal the Viet Nam War was and how misled the World was by the media from America and abroad. I am aware of the way this Nation welcomed home the veterans who had fought with honorable intentions for others freedoms . However, I was not aware of the injustices that greeted them as they landed on America’s shores. Many family members and friends served in those wars, some lost their lives, all were forever emotionally scarred for what they…

‘Cold Justice’ by Kathi Oram Peterson, Narrator on CD, Jason Tatom – Book Review by LAWonder10

Cold Justice is a continuation of ‘River Whispers’. As the endless challenges and danger finally seem at an end,  on the day of Sam’s baptism and on the eve of the wedding to his lifelong love, Regi, disaster happens. Sam is whisked away unable to do a thing about it. He is battered, bruised, drugged, and all seems hopeless. However, he would not quit trying because of his constant concern of Regi. Rehi is bewildered and dejected but through support of family and friends, along with a few other suspicious happenings, Regi is determined to help discover where Sam could be. Claudia & Kowanda refuse to allow her to go on her own…Oscar insisted on tagging along, too. The adventures and action steadily moved along. New and interesting characters were effectively added and one felt he/she knew them. The scenic background was well portrayed. The “flow of the story was never interrupted. Once again, Jason Tatom, did  wonderful job in creating the “voices” and reading the story. The title is tricky but is applicable and a good “fit”. The book cover is also applicable but is slightly foreboding…not very eye-catching to the “browser”. I could not get into this plot…

‘A Gathering of Light’ by Patricia Iles – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books / June 25, 2014

This is a delightful tale of an exceptional young woman with special abilities, living in Virginia during the time of the Civil War.  She was an orphan living alone with only one close friend and her son who lived on the next farm over. The son, especially, aided her in various ways. The tale details how this young woman, among other attributes, helps heal a badly injured Union soldier… thus, a true friendship formed between them.  She endures a tremendous trial after he leaves. The plot continues to expand after the war ended. The story was well-written and smoothly “flowed” from one scene to the next. The characters developed seemed very real. The portrayal of the supporting scenes was very effective. This would be a perfect family story… except for some profanity – which could easily have been avoided My review of this book offers a Four Stars rating.

A Must Own Book For All Christian Families who have Children! ‘Hey Warrior Kids! Put on Your Armor!’ by Virginia Finnie – Book Review by LAWonder10
Children's Books / June 24, 2014

What an outstanding book for all Christian families with young children! Parents/ Leaders/ Grandparents must obtain this remarkable book of putting on the whole armor of God. It comes with an accompanying audio, of which I do not possess but I am certain it will only enhance an already incredible tale! Virginia has written this story with an energy the reader can feel. It is ideal for all elementary age children to red or listen to. This is an imperative tool needed in today’s society to assist our young youth with the fortitude needed to prevail. The “Armor” will encourage, strengthen and protect them in meeting the “Goliaths” of this day and age. Jeff Elliott did a remarkable job on the simple yet appealing illustrations. This book is reviewed offering a hearty Five Stars rating from me. *This was gifted in exchange for an honest review, of which I have given. PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE. [raw] [/raw]

‘The Silent Governess’ by Julie Klassen – book review by LAWonder10

The Silent Governess was only silent for a time. A young woman strikes the man strangling her mother with a fire iron. Fearing she had killed him the mother sent her away and told her not to return, that she would find her daughter when it was safe. While fleeing she encountered some very ‘shady’ men plus a group of gentlemen hunting. Neither were happy with her. Later she encountered uplifting people along with the negative sort. She was imprisoned, injured and was hired as a servant. All she wanted to do was to teach school. The flow of the events and attitudes were consistent and smooth. The reader never felt the need to skip pages. It was a large novel but very well written and connected prior events to the present-tense in a smooth flow.  Parents can feel free to allow their YA to read this tale. There is not anything contained within to corrupt one’s mind. The characters and situations were well formulated giving the reader a sense of actuality.  One could easily envision himself/herself there. My review of this book give it a strong Five Stars rating. *I won this in a Goodread’s giveaway but would have…

A Great Coming of Age Story ‘Washashore’ by Suzanne Goldsmith. Super for a Relaxing Summer Read! – Book Review by LAWonder10
Young Adult Books / June 23, 2014

‘Washashore’ is a poignant fictional tale about Fourteen-year-old Clementine Harper. Having to move from the home she had always known, her school, her best friend, Coco & the city she was comfortable in, to the spot they always vacationed at – Martha’s Vineyard – Clementine felt despondent and confused. Adam – her father – was taking a job in Ohio, yet her mother – Nora – felt she had to stay at the University in Boston where she was secure in her position. She would have to leave Clem alone for a day and a night once a week while she taught at the University but the rest of the time she could transport to and from work. The summer home on Martha’s Vineyards was hers – free and clear – so they would not have a monthly payment to live there. Walking on the edge of the ocean one day, Clem discovered a very large, beautiful dead bird. It had metal bands on its legs. She felt impressed to cut them off before leaving the bird. A short time later, on a field trip, Bo (the local bird preserve man) told the class about the various endangered birds on…

Lory S. Kaufman’s ‘The Loved and the Lost (The Verona Trilogy Book 3)’ Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Fantasy , Young Adult Books / June 23, 2014

The final book in the Verona Trilogy does not disappoint the readers! This final ending is a bittersweet story of one desperately, passionately trying to retrieve last love through time. Will time travel be able to change Hansum’s & Guiletta’s fate without disturbing historical events? Can Hansum persuade the Council to permit him and his friends to try? Perhaps if Hansum and his friends become the perfect citizens, it will help in his cause. The ‘Loved and the Lost ‘ also further explores the lives of Lincoln, & Shamira. With the changes in their lives, will they still want to help him or must he do it on his own if the Council agrees. Hansum’s turmoil increases – as does situations encountered – and time passes by. This ha been an interesting series in the viewpoint of the author. This dystopian series is much more realistic and feasible than most others I have read. Although some of the authors reasons after the end of his final chapter, I do not fully agree with, I still feel the are well though through and bear consideration. This book is recommended for YA of all ages. Adults will equally find this engaging….

A Great Summer Read! ‘The Newport Ladies Book Club: Athena’ by Heather B. Moore – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books / June 22, 2014

This was an outstandingly well-written book on Athena, one of the ladies of the Newport Ladies’ Book Club series. The reader was successfully drawn into the thoughts and feelings that Athena experiences. The story never lags. The losses she experiences, her priorities which go through changes, the value she puts into life and love fluctuates, as most individuals experience , as well. Many will relate to some of the challenges she experiences which changes the way she thinks and what she has always done. I cannot wait for the next book! The characters in the story seem very real and the reader can truly feel connected to them. The surrounding scenes are easily visualized. The book cover fits the “meat” of the story well …and of course, the title is perfect. My Review of this book gives it a hearty Five Stars rating. PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE! [raw] [/raw * I was gifted this book for an honest review, of which I have given.

The Verona Trilogy Continues in ‘The Bronze and the Brimstone’ by Lory S. Kaufman – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 20, 2014

The adventures and action continues in this sequel of the Verona Trilogy! Hansum continues to flourish and prosper, always remembering his adopted family – the della Cappa’s -, his beloved Guilietta, & his trusted friends – Shamira, Lincoln, and , of course Pan. The Princess Beatrice is a complication. Hansum becomes more confident and less reliant on Pan. Will this self-reliance become his undoing? Will his plan to win the Podesta’s acceptance of Guilietta as his betrothed instead of Beatrice? In this sequel of the Verona Trilogy, Hansum’s well-thought-out plans explodes into an unexpected “hitch”.  New twists evolve and life takes some bitter-sweet shifts in direction. The reader’s interest is captivated throughout the book. However, there is brief profanity and there is a large portion of very graphic violence. definitely not recommended for younger teens. The characters are created and sustained very well. They really “come to life”.  The action and surrounding scenes are very descriptive and vivid. The title is very fitting and the eye-catching book cover becomes very apparent part way through the book. I just cannot give this book a five stars review rating with the intense violence and the occasional use of bad language. I, therefore,…

‘There’s a Monster in Mommy’s Tummy’ by J.D.Pooker – Book Review by LAWonder10
Children's Books / June 19, 2014

This is a whimsical, short, charming illustrated story of a strange creature in “Mommy’s Tummy” and the imaginative reasons he feels this is so. The writing is simple, yet clever. The illustrations by Christy Caughie are colorful, simple and well done. At the very end of the book, there is a complete explanation of what really causes “the Monster in Mommy’s Tummy. This is a wonderful and slightly different story for toddlers and very early elementary age children. I give this picture book a  Four and a Half Stars rating for the literary writing, pictures and added explanation.  In my opinion, it was a little too short. *I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review, of which I have given.                    PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE! ‘Crossed’ by Ally Condie – Book on CD Read by Kate Simses & Jack Riccobono – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 18, 2014

‘ Crossed’ is the continuing sequel to ‘Matched’ – a captivating dystopian fantasy. Cassia is determined to discover where they have taken Ky. She will sacrifice almost everything to find him. Although she loves Xander, she is “in love” with Ky. Ky will do whatever is needed to survive and somehow connect again with Cassia. He hopes she will not turn to Xander. He will somehow find an escape and not allow the Society to destroy him. Both meet new and interesting characters who add to the saga. Ally Condie has, once again, effectively created a cast of characters that seem very real. The scenes in the background are easily visualized. The “voices” were very well narrated by both Kate Simses & Jack Riccobono. The title is catchy but not as fitting as ‘Matched’ was. The book cover is intriguing and is a clever follow-through of book one. The storyline dragged slightly but in a way one could not put the book down. It totally kept the reader’s interest. It also, left the reader wanting more and anxious to read the final sequel, ‘Reached’. PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE. [raw] [/raw]

‘It’s NOT Just a Dog!’ by Pam Torres – Book Review by LAWonder10

This was a fun steadily adventurous continuing story of Madison Morgan. It is very well-written and captivates the reader’s attention. There is much humor in Madison’s ventures of which she seldom considers the consequences of her actions. In ‘It’s NOT Just a Dog!’ to Madison’s surprise she makes a new friend – but of course nobody can replace Cooper! She also makes new discoveries about her departed mom. Her thoughts are split in two directions – her devotion to her dogs and her self discovery and connection she begins to feel with her mother. The book cover is a good “fit” and by the end of the story the title becomes clear. The characters introduced in this story become real in the reader’s mind. Also, the various scenes portrayed are easily visualized. This is a perfect series for pre-teen and teenaged youth. It is clean and easily read and understood. My review of this book offers a Five Stars rating. *This book was gifted by the author for an honest review, of which I have given.   PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE! [raw] [/raw]

The Lens & the Looker
Young Adult Books / June 13, 2014

The Lens and the Looker is totally a pleasant surprise!…Not at all as I expected! This is a well-written fantasy for YA. It is written in three different book segments within this one book – “Hard-Time History Camp”; “Hard-Time Reality”; “Stranded”. It is a dystopian and historical tale in one. It begins in the 30th century then includes time travel. I really thought it was going to be another Dystopian/Sci-Fi. 17 year old Hansum, Shamira, – approximately 15 year old-, and 13 year old Lincoln were very difficult children who were always pulling very disruptive pranks so were sent to “Hard-Time History Camp” to be taught a lesson. Notwithstanding,, that lesson was not well-learned which presented a new problem that was soon to go awry. The tree youth go through many experiences they never comprehended possible. However, they were not left to their own concoctions but inconspicuously acquired “Pan”. The action and adventures are continuous. There is a few words of slight profanity and crudeness but mostly is “cleanly” written. There is even a  touch of romance. It is recommended for middle school age children and all YA. I am eager to read the next sequel ‘The Loved &…

‘Wrath’ by Diana Rose Cover Reveal Blitz !
Adult Books / June 13, 2014

Welcome to another Cover Reveal Blitz ‘Wrath’ by Diana Ross. This looks pretty INTENSE!!         Some girls break when they’re ruined. Some become sad, and others get angry. They turn their hate on the world at the wrong people and either hide inside themselves, or they put themselves in situations that are all wrong. I didn’t do, either. I suppose, for a while, I did, but I’m young. Even now, after all this time. You ask me what did I get from what I did? I’ll tell you. I got vengeance – and it was sweet. This book will offend you. It will make you ill and keep you up all night. It’s a small price to pay for what they have done to me. This is my confession. My name is Diana Rose. Last name unimportant. My father started with me and then he went for my sister. She’s dead now. People like you took her from me. And now I am on a mission to rid the world of filth.

‘Blur’ by Steven James – Book Review by LAWonder10
Young Adult Books / June 12, 2014

‘Blur’ is a fast moving, suspenseful new captivating YA series! I highly recommend this for all twelve years and up! Football Quarterback, Daniel Byers, attends an underclassman’s funeral along with his father who is the local Sheriff. He barely knew the girl but her funeral was the beginning of his life twisting out of control. Although Daniel was level-headed and popular, he began questioning his sanity.  Really strange “things’ began to happen. He eventually confided in his best friend, Kyle…would this be the end of their close friendship.  His father became concerned along with a few other key people in his life. The characters within this well developed story became real to the reader. The Book Cover is eye-catching and befitting of the story. It is soon apparent why the title was named ‘Blur’. It is totally clean yet never seems juvenile or dull. This is the first book of a trilogy, leaving the reader anxiously awaiting the next sequel. I heartily give a Five Stars rating in my review of this book! *This book was sent to me for an honest review, of which I have given. PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE! [raw] [/raw

Introducing Award Winning Author, Steve James! His new YA Book, ‘Blur’ is Presently Amazon’s #1 Best Selling Teen Detective e-book!

Steve, since I discovered you and your books on another Book Review site, I have been intrigued and anxious to read your books. I recently read your new YA novel, ‘Blur’…WOW! Fantastic! World, meet a very talented author – Steve James – who will give us a deeper insight into the man as well as the author. 1. Steve, you presently live in Tennessee with your wife and three daughters. Where were you raised? How many siblings? I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and moved to Tennessee to pursue a master’s degree in storytelling (no, that’s not a joke—it really exists). My brother is a doctor in the Air Force and my sister is a college volleyball coach in Minnesota. I have to say I love Tennessee—I was just never a fan of those Wisconsin winters. I can totally understand that. Snow is beautiful from inside a warm house if one doesn’t have to venture out into it. 2. Tell us a little about what your childhood was like and what were your dreams. I daydreamed a lot. Played pretend. Explored the pond in our backyard. I would pass the time telling myself stories and…

‘Matched’ by Ally Condie (Book on CD read by Kate Simses) – Book Review by LAWonder10
Fantasy , Young Adult Books / June 10, 2014

It’s so realistic it is scarey!!  There are several situations in this dystopian novel many of us can relate to the same stage being slowly set in our own countries.  It could easily happen by the next century. Cassia is intelligent and has been conditioned by the “Society” to view the Political/Social way of life as ideal…until after a key “rites to passage” ceremony, she begins to wrestle with what she felt to be a perfect existence suddenly does not seem that perfect anymore. Ally has defines a very interesting group of characters in this dramatic story. One truly feels connected to the main characters. The panoramic view of the surrounding areas she portrays is easily envisioned.  The title is perfect, although the book cover is understandable, yet does not do the content of the book justice.  Many of us feel like we live in a bubble but there is so much more to this story. The story holds the reader’s interest from beginning to the very end. Some very good points are taught about making wise choices, developing strong, personal relationships, true friendship, fighting for the things we believe to be right, government control, first love/types of love….

Introducing a Fabulous Author, G.G. Vandagriff! Join in on my special personal Interview of her.

I am so thrilled to do this interview with you. I was a BIG Fan of your genealogical mysteries. I was disappointed when I had to await more of them for a period of time. In the meanwhile, I was not aware of you writing any historical romance novels.  I contacted you about further sequels and that is when I discovered your first two historical romance novels. G.G. you are such an open person…this Interview is going to be a little intense. However, I feel many of us will really be able to relate. There is always strength in forces and always good to not feel one is alone in one’s experiences n this world. 1. Tell us a little about your early years.,,How many siblings? Childhood desires & experiences that impacted your life? I was the oldest of three children. My early childhood was very happy as we were left to entertain ourselves as children. I created many make believe worlds with storybooks I would draw before I was old enough to write. I had forts in the mountains where I played imaginary games. I created an imaginary family. When I was old enough to write, I never…

‘River Whispers’ by Kathi Oram Peterson – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 7, 2014

This exciting novel mixes the mysticism of Indian lore with modern day mystery. In her River Whispers’ novel, Kathi has brought in a socially unaccepted woman who is strange and holds to the traditions learned as she lived among the American Indians. She also brings into the suspenseful plot, old loves of times past. Capturing an element of romance, intrigue, murder, mystery/suspense, and real life situations, Traci has developed a well-written, captivating clean, mystery/suspense novel. The Title is a perfect “fit”. The book cover is well done and portrays the story and title well, but is too dark. It fails to effectively attract the “browsers” attention. The variety of the small town characters are described in a way they seem real. The background scenes are equally effective in visualization. The Book on CD is read very well by Luone Ingram. My review of this book gives it a Four Stars rating PURCHASE THIS BOOK FROM AMAZON HERE! [raw] [/raw]

This is Fun Yoga Book for Children! ‘Hello, Bali: A Kids Yoga Island Adventure Book’ by Giselle Shardlow – Book Review by LAWonder10
Children's Books / June 6, 2014

This is a wonderful new concept in teaching children to relax and exercise through Yoga! Emily Gedzyk has provided the illustrations in vivid colors with cute yet simple characters. The scenes depicting Bali Island are very well done. With each exercise stance, there is a circular picture of a young girl performing the stance in the same simple, colored dress – so easily followed. The rest of the duel pages often have another recreational stance with the same pose which is enlightening and fun to relate to. The child receives the whole exercise in story form. It is very clever. It is easy to show a group the pictures as the story is read . The book is a large 81/2 by 11 inch story book. There are key words listed and emphasized at the end of the story, plus, parent/teacher guide with Instructions.  It, also, has key words in English & in Indonesian in the back pages of the book. To top it all off, there is a coloring page at the very end. This is a remarkable innovative idea to present, exercise, foreign language, & literary learning all in one lesson. This is one of several countries-languages this…

Historical Fiction Lovers..! Lord Grenvillle’s Choice’ by G.G. Vandagriff is a great read! – Book Review by LAWonder10

Lord Grenville’s love of his life was wedded to another man through an arranged marriage. Only months later, he was approached by the father of a very wealthy young woman. She wasn’t as pretty as his former love but still was quite attractive. Since he was having financial difficulties, her large dowry would solve his financial worries. Now, five years later, he had a wonderful son whom he dearly loved and admired the way his wife loved their son equally. He felt bad he could not give his heart  to his wife. She was sweet and a good wife and mother but he could not get over his lost love. Lady Felicity loved Lord Grenville from the moment she saw him. He had barely noticed her at the social events they attended, but everything about him attracted her to him…, everything except his obsession with Lady Elizabeth. Yes, it had been five years but at the beginning of “the Season” circumstances changed, disrupting several lives with no clear solution to the problems. This is a melodramatic story in the fashion of Jane Austin. It was quite predictable except for a few unexpected twists, but it was indeed very well…

‘Chances Are’ by Traci Hunter Abramson
Adult Books , Young Adult Books / June 4, 2014

This is a poignant tale of a motivated young woman’s battle against cancer. Her roommate and best friend, Kari, assisted her the best way she could. There is a touch of romance in the plot as well. Kari’s brother, Ben, is a pro baseball player. In Kari’s effort to help Maya, it disgruntled Ben and caused problems for Maya. Maya’s life depended on this special cancer treatment. Due to several complications, Maya faces a strong possibility she will die and all seems hopeless. She has nobody left to turn to for help. This is a very touching story which may cause the reader to shed occasional tears. Through much drama and unexpected twists, Traci Abramson captures the reader’s interest. The title is passable but the book cover fails to adequately depict the main theme. Traci successfully developed believable personalities and portrayed the characters and background scenes well. Although slightly dragged out, it was still a great and moving epic. Luone Ingram does a very good job in reading the Audio CDs. My review of this book offers a Four Stars rating. ‘ Fire Dance’ by Della Jacobs – Book Review by LAWonder10
Adult Books , Historical Fiction / June 2, 2014

This was an interesting early historic romance. I love the times of knights and honorable kings. This was a great fictional story during the time of King Rufus who succeeded King Henry. It was a time when lands were conquered then controlled. This is a very positive situation. A young Heiress was left alone when at first her mother, then her evil father died. King Rufus called a beloved Lord knight to conquer that land and wed the young princess and would be given the title of Lord and the castle and land would become his with the Lady. He was instructed to marry her and accept her without questions. When he and his knights arrived, no battle was necessary… the Heiress was missing.  None of the people “owned up” to knowing where she was. The Lord Knight was persistent in finding her and eventually he did. The Heiress was loved by her people and had suffered greatly under her father’s rule. She felt no grief at his death whatsoever. She wanted no more killing or suffering of her people so asked they summit with no more bloodshed. What ensued further keeps the reader in suspense until the very end….

Move over ‘Star Wars’! ‘Price of Vengeance’ by Kurt D. Springs, is published! – Book Review by LAWonder10.
Young Adult Books / June 1, 2014

For all fans of Star Wars, War off the World, etc., this book is for you! Orphaned at age two – after witnessing the horrifying death of his parents – Liam was given a home with High Councilor Marcus and his wife, Lidia. Along with Randolf – their biological son – they raised him as their own son.  Now as grown men, both sons were members of the colony’s military.  Once again the same giant, carnivorous insects who savagely killed Liam’s biological parents, were again attacking in huge swarms. Liam was smaller than most of the others but as a Finnian, he was  more agile and able to move much more quickly. Although very close as brothers, Randolf was three years older and higher in rank so they did not serve together. The majority of the story is the ensuing battle between the two forces for the survival if the last city remaining on the planet, Etrusci. The people were being massacred by the hideous creatures, who attacked in swarms.   The time period was centuries into the future. Survival of the planet’s inhabitants seemed hopeless. They would have to succumb to a heartless individual. The action and suspense was…
