unnamed  He Knows my Name from Ron Brough – A John Lyde film

Screenplay by Sally Meyer

Little Rebekah is fascinated by the man her neighbors know as Jesus, and she wants to hear all He has to say. But her mother, Sarah, wants Rebekah to keep her distance from the man some call Master and others label a heretic. Sarah has heard rumors that some factions wish to harm Jesus of Nazareth. But Rebekah is persistent, and one day she brings Jesus home to meet her mother and grandfather a simple act that will forever change all their lives.

My Review:

What better way to prepare for the Easter Season than with this outstanding and touching video of “He Knows My Name’! The time setting was in the last days of Jesus’ life on earth. It depicts a main point of the Savior, Jesus Christ’s mission on earth. It is about a young girl’s faithful, curious spirit…”and a child shall lead them…”.

The Child Rebecca was portrayed by Aimee Johnson; boy, Isaac portrayed by Koleman Stinger; Bruce Newbold portrayed the grandfather; Melody Stone portrayed the mother; and Darin Southam portrayed Jesus.

The acting was very convincing for the most part. Aimee totally stole the heart of the audience ! I do not think there could have been a more perfect portrayal of Jesus than what Darin accomplished. Mason D. Davis did a remarkable job in his brief appearance as a younger Ruben!

The musical background arrangement totally enhanced the circumstances and emotions of the story. It felt so real – as though one was there with them!

This truly should give all the belief of Life Eternal and comfort all who has lost loved ones. Truly all homes would benefit from having this DVD available for frequent inspirational comfort.

I am grateful to Stephanie at Covenant Communications, Inc. for allowing me to be among the first to review this amazing new DVD video!
