Violet Grenade by Victoria Scott

Publication Date:  May 2, 2017
Publisher:  Entangled Teen

DOMINO: A girl with blue hair and a demon in her mind.

CAIN: A stone giant on the brink of exploding.

MADAM KARINA: A woman who demands obedience.

WILSON: The one who will destroy them all.

When Madam Karina discovers Domino in an alleyway, she offers her a position inside her home for entertainers in secluded West Texas. Left with few alternatives and an agenda of her own, Domino accepts. It isn’t long before she is fighting her way up the ranks to gain the madam’s approval. But after suffering weeks of bullying and unearthing the madam’s secrets, Domino decides to leave. It’ll be harder than she thinks, though, because the madam doesn’t like to lose inventory. But then, Madam Karina doesn’t know about the person living inside Domino’s mind. Madam Karina doesn’t know about Wilson.

Author Guest Post — Top 5 Favorite Book Heroes/Heroines

  1. Inej from Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows duology. Inej is small and quiet, but she’s a force to be reckoned with. She’s smart and sneaky and a total badass. As much as I adored Kaz (and trust me, he’s definitely another favorite), I couldn’t help but appreciate Inej being awesome just a tad bit more.

  2. Daemon from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. He’s hot. He’s snarky. And he’ll do anything to keep Katy safe. How could I not love this hero?

  3. Warner from Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series. Warner kind of took me by surprise. In Shatter Me, he seemed very clearly the villain. But with Destroy Me, we saw in his head and the entire view of who he was shifted. I LOVE that. I love that his character shaped up to be so much more, so much deeper.

  4. Feyre from Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series. She is just so incredibly strong. We see her go through a whole heck of a lot throughout the series, but she always makes it through. Sometimes it takes a while, and she needs to heal. But when it comes down to it, she’s tough and clever and amazing.

   5. Levi from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Levi is extraordinary. He’s sweet and kind and funny, but he’s also not exactly perfect. He makes mistakes. He gets testy. But he still makes me smile whenever I think of him. He’s a definite favorite.
