REVIEW By LAWonder10:
Author, Beth Carpenter, has once again created a memorable Alaskan 'Northern Lights' novel!
Natalie's father was non-existent in her life. Her mother barely supported them, moving on a whim. She was more than anxious to wish Natalie well and move far away as soon as Natalie graduated from High School.
Natalie had never really had a close friend, so when she and Brooke were put together as College roommates, Natalie felt she had been given a precious gift. Sweet, optimistic Brooke was the best friend anyone could ever dream of. Now, Brooke met a man in a brief encounter and fell in love. Now she needed to find him but she never got a phone number ad he did not use Social Media. She only had an address with a P.O. Box! ... Very suspicious! Natalie was certain he was a cheating creep who probably had a wife and kids. Natalie had finished her PhD and was on her way to a new job in New Mexico. However, she couldn't leave Brooke until she found this "person" and make sure he contacted Brooke. She would not let him get away with hurting Brooke! She would do a "stake out" and catch him at the post office.
This is an often humorous tale of a woman devoted to her friend and who had never enjoyed a real Christmas celebration. She had a very hopeless negative attitude concerning any long term relationship. mistake left her abandoned and at the mercy of and unusual situation.
The story is delightful! If this doesn't put one into a "Christmasy" mood, then he/she must be slightly "Scroogey".
The Characters are endearing and well portrayed. The situations are easy visualized and "experienced". The Title and Cover image are perfect!
I offer a Five Stars rating for this book.

ABOUT the AUTHOR:
Beth Carpenter is thankful for good books, a good dog, a good man and a dream job creating happily-ever-afters. She and her husband now split their time between Alaska and Arizona, where she occasionally encounters a moose in the yard or a scorpion in the basement. She prefers the moose.
