without endangering his heart?
When Sabrina Bell taps Leith Jordan for a crash course in conquering the great Alaskan outdoors, he figures he’s on safe ground. They’re polar opposites and his spectacular home state’s just a pit stop for the hotshot fashionista. So no one’s more surprised than Leith when he starts falling for her. Now he’s a man with a plan: get Sabrina to fall in love with Alaska…and, hopefully, with him.
MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
An Alaskan Proposal is a touching "feelgood" tale of misconceptions upon first meeting an individual or due to his/her social position.
Through scholarships and hard work, Sabrina had achieved success at a young age, but it was taken from her when the company she worked for "went under". She obtained a new job and the possibility of leadership in this new company, if she passed this temporary Alaskan assignment. This was a "new world" for her By exhibiting a confidence she didn't feel, and "stretching the truth", she just had to prove she could do it better than anyone else.
Leith had been through a disastrous relationship and was determined to avoid all "city girls" from now on.
He was called to train a group from a local market on wilderness safety. He could not help but notice the new, attractive employee from a large city. She would never last in this type of country.
This is a poignant. sometimes humorous story of a struggling young woman, determined to, once again, obtain her "dream job" and discovering her true self. It is also about a young man who appreciates nature and importance of relationships.
These are two people from very different "walks of life", trying to fulfill their dreams ad still maintain values and integrity.
The characters are so personable, they feel real: They will truly "win your heart"!
The dreamy Alaskan setting is perfect and described well.
The Book Cover and Title are both a great fit.
I offer a Five Stars rating for this incredible, well written novel.

Once upon a time ...
when Beth Carpenter was a little girl, she read everything she could get her hands on, and entertained herself on the school bus by making up stories in her head. Not a lot has changed. She's still consuming books like M&Ms, and spends her days creating happily-ever-afters for her imaginary friends.
She lives in Alaska and Arizona with her husband and an aggressively affectionate fifty-pound lap dog. She loves to hear from readers.
