REVIEW by LAWonder10: This was a very well-written delightful tale with a Holiday setting. A very promising Chicago lawyer, Sam Hayes, approached her boss, threatening to quit, but Sean Flaherty, persuaded her to handle a law suit against his family business in a small town four hours away. It would give her a reprieve, plus, allow her to, possibly, "branch out" into other areas of the law. Other than a frustrating experience with a flat tire on a rainy evening, with no close roadside help, the town's people was like none other she had ever experienced. It was as if it were atown out of the 1950s. She had a 9:00 A.M. meeting with Sean's brother, Conor, to discuss the case and get some material to support their case. It was the most unexpected and unusual meeting Sam had ever experienced. One that would lead to a whole new outlook on life. It just wasn't what she had planned for her life. The characters felt so real and the plot scenes were very well-developed, which allowed the reader to feel a part of the story. It was somewhat predictable, yet had a few twists, to add interest for the reader. It was so well-written, that it easily kept the reader's interest. The Book Cover and Title were very "fitting". This was an uplifting read in anticipation of the Holiday Season. I offer Four and a Half Stars rating *This book was gifted me with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review. ![]()
About the Author
Nan Reinhardt is a USA Today-bestselling author of romantic fiction for women in their prime. Yeah, women still fall in love and have sex, even after 45! Imagine! She is a wife, a mom, a mother-in-law, and a grandmother. Nan has been a copyeditor and proofreader for over 25 years, and currently works on romantic fiction titles for a variety of clients, including Avon Books, St. Martin’s Press, Kensington Books, Tule Publishing, and Entangled Publishing, as well as for many indie authors. She can’t remember a time in her life when she wasn’t writing—she wrote her first romance novel at the age of ten, a love story between the most sophisticated person she knew at the time, her older sister (who was in high school and had a driver’s license!), and a member of Herman’s Hermits. If you remember who they are, you are Nan’s audience! Her latest novel, A Small Town Christmas, which is the first book in the Four Irish Brothers Winery series from Tule Publishing, releases on October 29, 2018.
