Evie Jennings doesn't believe in happily ever after—it's been a year since moving home to Los Angeles to gather the pieces of her broken heart after her divorce, but she is only going through the motions. That is, until a chance encounter on her college campus brings about an unexpected turn of events: Evie finds herself face-to-face with the heartthrob whose poster decorated the wall of her teenage bedroom. And he's desperate for her help.
Hollywood sensation Ridge Dashly is facing a career crisis—a bad review threatens his A-list status. Desperate to win back the favor of the media and his fans, Ridge reluctantly agrees to enroll in college, never dreaming he'll meet someone who can see past his fame to his true self.
As their paths continue to cross, Evie's seeming disinterest intrigues Ridge, and the pair form a tentative friendship that slowly grows into something more. But when confronted with the unrelenting paparazzi and the nagging shadows of their pasts, will they follow everyone else's script or fight for their own happy ending?
Can a relationship with a celebrity ever end happily? Probably not.
Does an Latter-Day-Saint woman in her twenties who has been divorced fit-in in any ward?
Evie experienced a very brief marriage, but it broke her heart, and she felt such the "Fool"!
This is a bitter-sweet story of avoiding romance for a second time, of forgiveness, of self-worth, and understanding the Atonement more fully.
This is also, for a child's misconception of how she must choose a profession. It, also, points out the misunderstandings in relationships.
The Book Title and cover are very "fitting".
The characters and scenes were so well portrayed, the reader easily felt he/she was there. The attitudes and emotions of the characters were easily felt by the reader.
The only negative is, the discontent and stigma in the relationship felt slightly dragged out.
I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating.

My Review: (LAWonder10)
Although I do not own a Ninja Foodi, all I have read about it in detail, in the Complete Cookbook For Beginners, has been extremely impressive.
I own other Ninja products of which I truly love! I am excited to try the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker!
This Complete Cookbook for Beginners has a illustration and all the parts compiled in the creation of the Ninja Foodi, and how they work. They do Pressure Cooking, Air Frying, Dehydtrating, + more!
The cookbook offers pages of mouthwatering recipes, conversion and other charts for various usages. Plus, there are a few illustrations of completed recipes I wish there had been more illustrations.
I have an air cooker by another brand name in which I am going to try a few of the recipes. However, I am certain Ninja Foodi would have been a much better choice. My Air cooker does not do anywhere near all the things this Ninja Pressure cooker can do!
I offer a Four Stars rating Stars rating of this Cook Book.

Book Title: Stolen Obsession by Marlene M. Bell
Category: Adult Fiction; 284 pages
Publisher: Ewephoric Publishing | Release date: March 20, 2018
Genre: Romantic Mystery / Thriller | Tour dates: Sept 10 to 28, 2018
Content Rating: R (Small bit of language and one detailed sex scene)
Antiquities appraiser Annalisse Drury dreams of a quiet life on the family's sheep farm, far away from Manhattan's brownstones, when her closest confidant falls victim to a mugging gone wrong. This had to be a hit--There are echoes from the past--and detectives have no leads. Then at a gallery opening, she sees an artifact on display, an interlocking necklace of horse heads matching her friend's stolen bracelet. Annalisse fears for the curator who owns the piece.
Convinced the jewelry collection is evil and must be destroyed, Annalisse enlists the gallery owner's womanizing son. Alec Zavos has his mother's ear, but dismisses Annalisse's concerns--until a second victim at the opening brings them together in a fight against treachery, a race through exotic lands, and an unimaginable future. If Annalisse can survive...
MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
Annakisse, orphaned when she was a girl, holds tender memories of her Aunt and Uncle , sheep farmers, far away from her Manhattan residence.
While supporting her boss in an opening for the gallery, a necklace she feels is cursed, was unexpectedly on display. It must be removed!
The "opening" is halted when a mugging occurred. Then further disaster transpired!
While she originally sought the aid of the gallery owner's womanizing son, she reluctantly had to put herself in his care while the crimes were being solved.
She must protect herself from another devastating relationship.
The author created the characters in a way they felt real and involved the reader in the scenes so he/she felt a part of the story.
This was a great story! I felt it began rather awkward while building the foundation but it improved steadily until the end.
*Reader Beware: There is some profanity, graphic violence and sexual contemplations throughout, plus, an explicit scene.
The Book Title and Cover were very fitting and eye-catching.I offer a five and a Half Stars rating.

SHEEP IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM
Raising lambs on a bottle is a seasonal occurrence on most sheep operations. In fall of 2006, it hit us again when Natalie was born to a first-time mom during freezing temperatures. It was my job to check the ewes who were expected to lamb and this particular night I made my pass through the flock at 1:30 in the morning. A hard frost had fallen and, of course, a first-timer ewe had a little lamb in the frozen dirt. The lamb was so tiny and not moving, so I assumed the lamb had come too early and had expired. Her mother had no milk.
As I closed in with a flashlight, the lamb raised its head and cried. I had to make a hard choice. Leave it outside and bottle feed it, or take it inside the house where it would have a fighting chance in the warmth. The lamb was a fighter and had survived at this point, so she made a reasonable candidate for the bottle. Her size was against her, but if I left her to the elements, dying was a certainty.
While my husband slept, I brought the lamb into our home. I’d never done this before and considered how crazy it was to do this with a lamb that would never grow large enough as a breeder in our flock. The lamb I called Natalie was too small to raise lambs of her own, but I had to make the effort and save her just the same. Filling a huge metal salad bowl with warm water, I carefully submerged her legs and rubbed the coldness out of her bones. Raising her body temperature over the next twenty minutes or so, I was able to get her warm enough to accept a small amount of milk from a bottle.
Under a heat lamp on a bath towel, I let her warm until she was able to stand on her own, all three pounds eight ounces of her. Natalie stayed in our laundry room for eight weeks with an occasional walk to the kitchen sink while I made her bottles, around the clock. Every three hours. Our house cat, Buggs wasn’t sure about the strange creature behind the door, but Natalie flourished and became a part of our family for twelve years. She lived outside but never felt like hanging with other sheep. I honestly believe she considered herself more like us and less like the others with fleece. I plan to bring out her story in a children’s book between writing installments of the Annalisse Series. This is Natalie chasing my husband (and feed) in the Kawasaki Mule 2017. We lost her in April 2018. She is missed every day.

Where does the inspiration for your character development come from? How do you decide which is the best fit for this particular story?
I think that, like many authors, much of the inspiration for my characters comes from my experiences in real life, and the people in it. That’s not to say that one can’t find inspiration in books and movies, etc., but most, if not all, of my characters have attributes pulled from real individuals, flaws included, and I like to think that is what makes them so relatable to the reader. When I wrote Dark Tomorrow: Rise of the Crow, I wanted the world to be as realistic as possible, and by drawing on actual living individuals to craft my characters, I think it added to the overall realism of the story. Of course, it’s also important that your characters “fit” your story, and it’s not uncommon to completely cut characters or re-imagine their personalities at some point in your writing. Really, I think if a writer is seeking to create a convincing and engaging world, developing characters based on the real world is always a good choice. People sometimes say you should never upset a writer because they can make you into a villain in their next book--and I can tell you that there is definitely some real truth to that!

Creating Your Forever Family: How to Incorporate Family Proclamation Principles in Your Home by Rachel A. Sullivan Paperback, 192 pages | ISBN13 9781524406776
Published 2018 by Covenant Communications
It has been decades since the family proclamation was first presented to members of the Church by President Gordon B. Hinckley. But despite the passage of time, the counsel provided in the family proclamation is ever more vital in these tumultuous last days. Creating Your Forever Family is an indispensable resource, providing practical application of the nine principles outlined in the family proclamation. Featuring counsel from Church leaders and stories of these principles in action, this book offers ways to incorporate these values into everyday life, from interview questions designed to help kids open up to the game night ideas to fun family dinner conversation starters. Families will be strengthened as each member gets involved in the discussions and applications. Now is the time to fortify families and truly embrace the principles of this great proclamation.
MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
Although this book is specifically written for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is an excellent format for any Christian striving to raise a responsible, Christlike family in today's society. Using the Family Proclamation as a guideline, the author has itemized each step we can take as parents, to ensure our family is spiritually strong and Christlike as possible.
At the end of each chapter, there are questions to ensure the chapter is understood. At the end of the book are appendixes With further Questions and pointers to make sure the book in its entirety, is comprehended and made useful..
As a parent, we often feel overwhelmed with what we are counseled to do to be thorough and effective in our roles, entrusted us by a perfect Heavenly Father. However, we are not perfect. Life often results in illness, financial problems, economical problems in loss of work, etc.
As a young mother I often berated myself and felt hopeless because I was not able to do all the things I was taught in order to live as Christ would have me do.
I feel it is expedient authors realize this in writing. It is important individuals strive to do these things but realize if not all are attained, the important thing is that we keep striving to do our very best, plus more though God's help, then realize we are not perfect and the main point is to keep striving hard and never quit.

Daniel Cavanaugh has it all—a lucrative career as a lawyer, a gorgeous fiancée, and his future mapped out for him. So why is he feeling increasingly dissatisfied with his life? When the assignment to handle his late grandmother’s estate takes him to the California coast, Daniel welcomes the escape. Staying at the nearby bed-and-breakfast isn’t really his style, but he soon realizes the inn may hold the key to the answers he’s been seeking. Spindrift Cove has few opportunities for a young unmarried woman like Sarah Michaels. Even so, she enjoys her solitude as owner and chef at the Neverland Inn. She thrives on catering to the needs of her guests and treating them to her fantastic cooking. But when Daniel walks through her door, he immediately tests her patience. Though he is handsome and well-bred, she finds him insufferable. Soon, however, the tranquility of the inn works its magic, and Daniel and Sarah forge a sweet and unexpected connection—until the life he left behind in the city demands his return and it seems that a happily ever after may not be on the menu after all.
MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
This is a well-written, wonderfully predictable , "feel good" story!
The Neverland Inn was a home which once belonged to Sarah's aunt, one she was raised in part of her life, and now it belonged to her. What better way to honor her aunt's memory than make it into a cozy Bed and Breakfast Inn? She eagerly tried to make all welcome, as her aunt would have, plus, fix the wonderful, mouthwatering recipes her aunt had taught her to make.
When it slowed down, she had her lovable, quirky best friend, Michelle, to add "spice" to her life.
Daniel was morose standing at the burial of his beloved grandmother. How could hid dad be so "cold" at the death of his own mother? Always efficient and businesslike, his mother and father urged him to hurry and get the estate sale and auction matters completed and join them for pressing social events and spend time with his absentee fiance who would be returning to San Francisco any day. A gorgeous, sophisticated fiance of mostly his parents choosing.
Feeling restless and grieving for the one he knew had truly loved him, Daniel decided to stay in the area a few days and explain later. However, hid Five Star hotel room was already booked for the advance days. This forced him to find a different place. He sett;ed on a remote B & B in the area.. When he arrived, nobody answered his supplications. When he went around to the backyard, the owner actually immediately fell for him! ...or should I say on him?!
Sarah, had never had a person so uptight and formal stay at her inn. She was determined to "loose" him up... That is if he stayed more than one night, or two.
This is a relaxing, fun story of two entirely different individuals, yet, deep inside, craved the same things. What Sarah had not realized is Daniel wasn't free, and would soon be married.
There are several twists in Sarah, Daniel's and other 's lives which keeps the reader interested.
The characters are very endearing, the scenes easily visualized, The book Cover and title chosen very well.
I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating.

K.C. Grant loves to write! From bad poetry at the age of seven to not-too-much-later attempts at a novel where the main character was a talkative red-haired girl (yes, that wasn't very creative) she has loved to create stories. In her adult career, she has written for family oriented magazines like BackHome, Parents and Kids, The Washington Family and LDSLiving. She was so excited about the release of her first novel in 2010, "Abish: Daughter of God." A sequel, "Abish: Mother of Faith" continues the story of Abish and focuses on the mothers of the stripling warriors.
K.C. will also get to continue her fascination with the setting of Mexico (this time with a modern twist) when her suspense novel titled "Venom" which came out January 2012.
She also belongs to three writers' groups and various other organizations that keep her very busy.
Browsing an antiques shop in Wiltshire, Alison Bannister stumbles across a delicate old portrait—identified as the doomed Tudor queen, Anne Boleyn. Except Alison knows better. The subject is Mary Seymour, the daughter of Katherine Parr, who was taken to Wolf Hall in 1557 and presumed dead after going missing as a child. And Alison knows this because she, too, lived at Wolf Hall and knew Mary…more than four hundred years ago.
The painting of Mary is more than just a beautiful object for Alison—it holds the key to her past life, the unlocking of the mystery surrounding Mary’s disappearance and how Alison can get back to her own time. To when she and Mary were childhood enemies yet shared a pact that now, finally, must be fulfilled, no matter the cost.
Bestselling author of House of Shadows Nicola Cornick offers a provocative alternate history of rivals, secrets and danger, set in a time when a woman’s destiny was determined by the politics of men and luck of birth. A spellbinding tale for fans of Kate Morton, Philippa Gregory and Barbara Erskine.

MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
Born in a different time Alison is drawn to a photo which may offer clues to finding her way back home. Little did she realize the complications it could cause.
Mary has her own survival to experience. With her "gifts" she must be very cautious in what she says or reveals. She doesn't want to end up like her father did!
This is a very entertaining heart-wrenching account of two distant cousins who are orphaned and find themselves at the mercy of, yet, another cousin. Although they are forced to share a bedroom, they are very different personalities and do not even like one another... or so it seems.
Before their lives go separate directions, Mary makes a vow to Alison. They may not like each other but they respect one another and are loyal.
The characters are well-defined and are easily "connected " with. The portrayal of the scenes are easily visualized.
The first portion of the book was not engaging and seemed awkward. However, after that, the story progressed smoothly and captured the readers interest. The book progressed iun action and meaning with a very strong ending.
The Book Title and Cover were well-chosen.
**READER BEWARE: There is some profanity and a very intimate sex scene.

Old wounds run deep
Only the truth can heal them…
Rancher Cole Loveland has no interest in dredging up the past, but his ex-fiancée, Katlynn Brennon, has other plans. To save her struggling TV show, she’s come back to Colorado to investigate the infamous Cade-Loveland feud. Trusting Katlynn again isn’t easy—she’s already chosen her career over Cole once. But he’s beginning to realize that true love, like legends, never dies.
My Review: (LAWonder10)
Katlynn had enjoyed her "stardom" but now she was thirty-two, and felt threatened all she sacrificed could soon be "swept away" if she didn't do something to hike her ratings up. There was only one thing she could think of, something she had tried hard for all these years to forget... "back home" and painful memories.
If this is what it takes to save her career and the livelihoods of her staff, then she had no alternative.
Cole was out all the chilly night with a cow who was calving. Early morning , his father joined him. As they observed the struggle of the mother struggling to claim her calf. Cole's Dad dropped a "bombshell" on him. When they arrived home, Cole discovered that was not the only "bombshell" his dad had to drop!

Several twists, hidden secrets, adventure, excitement, and emotional conflicts occur within these pages. Unhurried secrets that could set those in present bondage, free!
Will they truly be able to solve this mystery from the past?
The characters are so realistic and the scenes depicted so well, the reader will feel he/she is right there with them!
The Cover and Title are a very good "Fit".

MARIANNE HAD PLENTY OF TIME ON HER HANDS TO DO NOTHING, so she decided to clean the placemats that she had collected over the past fifty years. Fifty years of a wonderful life together with her husband and best friend, Andrew. Fifty years that should have turned into sixty, but would not even turn into fifty-one.
Her wonderful Andrew was dead. Andrew…her friend and caretaker of her soul and mind and being. Loneliness, darkness, and guilt extended their hungry fingers out for Marianne, desperately trying to pull her even further into their world…a world with no escape. How could she live without her Andrew? She had been so sure that she would be the first one to die in this relationship. But now there was a stronger component to her loneliness and darkness that was starting to make its presence known to Marianne. Anger.
Anger had been a companion of Marianne’s for a very long time, but usually she had the ability to quiet its demand to be set free. This time, though, Marianne was not sure she would be able to control this anger. It was different somehow…stronger. She was afraid and weak. She had lost her faith in God, and she was so angry with Andrew for leaving her behind. Leaving her all alone in this dark, insane world. A world that was in such a hurry to go nowhere. A world that was in such a hurry to destroy everything in its path. Marianne was in its path, but this time she was alone. Sitting at the kitchen table, Marianne closed her eyes, and then she prayed that, today, she would die.

Book Title: Held Together: A True Story of Love's Victory by Jenny Q
Category: Adult Non-Fiction; 456 pages | Genre: Memoir
Publisher: BookBaby | Release date: June 1, 2018
Tour dates: Sept 10 to 28, 2018
Content Rating: PG-13 + M (Graphic medical procedures, some bad language)
In January of 2014, Joshua Tree’s beloved village herbalist, Jenny Q. suddenly became seriously ill and rapidly descended into a coma with slender chance of survival. The shock of this news initiated an overwhelming outpouring of love, wit, service, practical magic and sharing of spiritual wisdom between those in her intimate desert community. Indeed it seemed that the entire group became one in their desperate effort and race against the clock to save her life.
While the words of others in the community tell the story in this book, it is Jenny’s own insightful writings that provide a fascinating window into a range of rare experiences. She gives us a unique glimpse into the mysterious worlds encountered while in a coma, the absolute alteration of losing one’s legs, the subtle venom of PTSD, the nightmare of withdrawal from prescription opiates, and the maddening frustration of having to re-learn basic skills previously taken for granted such as the ability to walk.
My Review: (LAWonder10)
Held Together is a Truly incredible story of Jenny Q. and her baffling, excruciating plight after what was a minor surgery.
It is also am awe inspiring book of community support, as well as the support of friends and family.
it is incredible to realize how one individual affected so many lives.
This story is also a testament to how two conflicting groups can unite in one purpose.
There are a couple of statements in her story that I feel especially resolutely about:
#1.) "I believe the power of love is a healing force.I believe that love is an action. You need to show up and take action."
The second was about two thirds through the book when it refers to the will to live can be stronger than the medical world's belief in the impossibility for recovery.
The Book Title and Image was done very cleverly. There was also some interesting photographs.
I found it difficult, at first, to get into the story.
Although I am impressed by the accounts of family and friends, along with Jenny's, I found it slightly disconcerting in trying to adequately follow her tale. I also did not applaud the lack of punctuation throughout the book.
I offer a Three and a Half Stars rating.

MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
This is a very interesting account of corruption at high levels of government - not unlike there is in reality in today's world.
It, also, addresses many other serious, controversial problems in today's society, worldwide, so therefore, the author felt the need to use some strong language, at times, and make reader aware of other real, injustices.
This story open's with a devoted, family man, patriot and FBI agent. His sense of justice and importance of preserving our country's integrity comes at a high price! It is about an admirable, although fictitious, character. Will his life of integrity and wholesomeness be enough?
The charterers are described in a way the reader can easily visualize them and the scenes are sometimes very graphic but portrayed well.
The main problem I had with this story was the lack of smooth "flow" between key individual's chapters. They felt "choppy" and sometimes left the reader somewhat confused for a few minutes. It was not always easy to discern which character was doing what, or where.
Although The Book Cover was an okay "fit" it wasn't one most "browsers" would stop and examine. The Title, however, was clever and "fitting.
Although I do not condone today's crude language used by many, I do feel the subject matter's are ones people should be aware of.
I offer a Three and a half Stars rating.

Ginny Fite Guest Blog Post:
The September after my husband died—a month I barely remember—I was looking out of the kitchen window and noticed the scrawny Southern Magnolia tree we planted five years before had two white blobs on it. Magnolias normally bloom in June.
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Was this some new kind of blight? I really couldn’t take another hit at that moment.
Panicking, I walked back to the tree, taking in the state of all the other trees on the property. They looked normal. As I got closer, the unmistakable sweet lemony scent of Magnolia flowers reached me.
Close up, the white blobs were healthy buds about to open into those magnificent almost alien-looking blooms with their soft leathery petals and yellow pinecone-like center. I didn’t know what to think.
I used to pray over that Magnolia, hand on the wiry trunk, trying to breathe it into health. These trees are supposed to grow at a rate of one to two feet annually. But this one, sick with scale and who knows what infestations, barely grew an inch a year. And yet every June managed to turn itself inside out to produce a cascade of white flowers.
I breathed in the scent of those two September flowers and decided this unexpected offering was nature telling to me, “It’s not over. There’s something more to produce, something wonderful.”
In my stricken state, I took every benediction that came my way. Two months later I had an agent for my first novel. And two months after that, I had a publishing contract. The teacher in a Writer’s Center class I took the following fall said, “You’re just a late bloomer.”
This summer, four years after my husband died, my fourth novel, No End of Bad, was published. That tree and I are still blooming.
Ginny, I can't imagine your pain at the loss of your husband. Mine was just given a possible death sentence by a doctor - his case looks more hopeful now - but I almost totally "fell apart"! He is so loving and helpful, I cannot even comprehend a life without him.
I am amazed and inspired by your tenacity!

The Rancher's Twins was such an engaging story ! I fell certain you will fall in love with the characters, as I did!
The Twins were raised surrounded by mostly grown up Cowboys. John was at his wits end on finding a Nanny who wouldn't run away within hours of tending his twin girls.
Lydia was desperate for a job. She had to leave the city in haste. Luckily, she had lived on farm two years with her grandmother so wasn't a total stranger to work.
She was satisfied she was far enough away, nobody would ever find her.
Jon was flabbergasted to find this "city girl" on his front porch was who the agency ssent. The number one criteria was for the Nanny to be a farm girl!
The lady at the agency would be gone for three weeks. He'd have to try to endure this fancy lady for three weeks.
If it was too much, he would simply work out something else and send her on her way.
This tale will surely "rope" the reader in. It will keep his/her interest to the last page!
Although slightly predictable, it had enough intrigue and adventure to maintain interest.
The Book Cover and Title were a perfect "fit". The scene and character description caused the reader to feel as though he/she were there!
This earns a Five Stars rating.

Review by LAWonder10:
This is a very inspirational book written primarily for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, although many other Christians could benefit from reading the pages of inspiration.
Do you feel depressed, discouraged, despondent, etc?
In 'Aligned with Christ', the author brings in many different aspects of the Atonement many of us do not realize. She emphasizes negative feelings about ourselves and others are not from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Once we repent and try to make improvement in our life, it is Satan who wants us to be down on ourselves, so we cannot accomplish greater things. She offers examples from her life and the life of others, plus, scripture quotes, to support her key points.
Toni Sorenson is a knowledgeable individual, with an indepth understanding of the scriptures and of the divine nature of Christ and his Atonement.
In a world filled with darkness and much sorrow, this is like a beacon to Christians to aid them through their darkest times.
This is a well-written book which uplifts and inspires.
