REVIEW By LAWonder10:
Dying to Belong is an excellent book on overcoming obstacles and becoming ones best self. This author's mind-boggling experience of survival, then following devastating issues, leaving her with various negative emotions, then her determination to seek help, is truly inspiring and awesome. She dove into books, CDs, and other media. There were also a few people who reached out to her, to give assistance. It was all quite remarkable. Author, Diane Mullins did an excellent job in relaying her experiences and emotions. never rambling, she concisely delved into what took place, what followed, and how she came up with a solution. She outlined and presented her story perfectly. Hers is an amazing story which many can relate to in many ways. For those who forlorn with their situations, feeling "stuck" with life's circumstances, this is a book which will surely aid them in gaining further hope and in enhancing their lives. I offer a Five S=tars rating for this book. This book was Gifted me with no pressure to post a positive review. This is my honest review.
Why did you write a book? Bottom line to help others. After a near fatal ATV accident, I was unable to work for several months. Laying around the house had its negative effects that started to spiral out of control. I was barely able to walk, I needed help to do normal daily functions, and I was not sure if I was ever going to be my normal self again. The longer I recovered the worst my physical and mental condition got. Day after day I heard all of the things wrong with me, all of the problems I had, all of the things I was unable to do. I started to believe I was never going to be my happy, active, healthy self. I was unhappy with my family, my husband, and mostly myself. This unhappiness was starting to lead to anger. I knew something had to change and had to change quickly, I did not like this feeling and I certainly did not like myself. I decided to switch my thinking and focus to healing. I read, I listened to podcasts, I watched YouTube videos and took in all I could about healing inside and out. Along the journey I decided to make myself happy, be there for myself and love myself the way I wanted others to love me which led to an AH HA moment. This started a new journey for me. I was determined to learn more about loving myself which in turn, built self-confidence and self-esteem that I had for the first time in my life. Publishing my story and experience, I want to help others love themselves and have more confidence. ![]()
