MY REVIEW: (LAWonder!0)
In her usual, talented style, author Tara Randel once again caused the reader to feel connected to this enthralling list of characters... Some endearing and a few detestable. Deke, an FBI Special Agent, "pulled the short straw" so was in the small town of Golden, Georgia to get more information about his mother's mysterious new boyfriend. From a family of lawmen, the sons were close and very protective of their recent widowed mother, which may account for her keeping the identity of her new romance a secret. Only one son lived near her and was only able to get a brief clue which was in Golden, Georgia. Now Deke had to clandestinely find out the character of this stranger. As luck would have it, Deke saw a help wanted sign in a Tour Guide window...Perfect! Attorney, Grace Harper, was frustrated with the disorganized mess she was dealing with, when she was called to return to her home town to help her mother with the family business, after her mother was injured... A business she had hoped to never return to. Her brother was the key Tour Guide went AWOL. She was in desperate need of a Tour Guide for the upcoming Tours in a few days. When a charming but arrogant man suddenly appeared for the job, she reluctantly was forced to hire him. This romance/suspense novel is a captivating story with several profound messages in successfully placing priorities in the correct order. What often seems helpful to others, sometimes "cripple" them instead. The scenes are vividly visualized and the story flows smoothly from one chapter to the next, and is hard to put the book down. This earns a Five Stars rating. +This book was gifted me with no requirement for a positive review. This is my honest review. ![]()
