  • ISBN-10: 1524408700 | ISBN-13: 978-1524408701 | Paperback: 96 pages
  • Synopsis (per Amazon):
Throughout the world, millions of devout followers of Christ look to the Virgin Mary as a sacred figure, a woman to be revered and worshiped. While Latter-day Saints do not worship this chosen vessel of the Lord, we do esteem Mary as one of the most influential people in history. Her faithfulness changed the course of the world, but even so, much detail of her life remains unknown to most. In Glorious Truths about Mary, Mother of Jesus, readers are invited to join distinguished LDS scholar Susan Easton Black on a journey of discovery spanning the life and legacy of this unparalleled faith-filled giant. Discover, through scriptural and historical sources, the compelling look at how Mary, mother of Jesus, has been characterized over the centuries and the true story and lasting influence she has had—this woman whose incomparable example continues to guide and inspire religious women today.

MY REVIEW (LAWonder10)
Author/Speaker Susan Easton Black always does a very thorough job in researching information sources before she publishes or speaks on any subject.
This account of Mary, Mother of Jesus, brings in various possibilities, obtained by several sources of what her life as the chosen mother of the Savior of all mankind, was truly like. She delves into ancient Jewish traditions to explain much of Jesus upbringing.
The experiences of her raising Jesus is very interesting and leaves the reader with much to meditate on.
The sources of scripture and historical traditions, leaves the reader with a greater understanding and belief in this marvelous woman of history.
The account "flows smoothly" and is never boring.
I offer a Five Stars rating for this non-fiction book.
*This book was gifted me with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review.
