Fiona’s not convinced. She’s determined to find the author of the enigmatic notes and uncover the truth about a man who had many secrets and countless enemies, including Fiona’s mother and former suspect Nancy Quinn!

REVIEW by LAWonder10:
Newly married to homicide. Detective Landry, Fiona introduces her husband to her unique house guest who does strange things. When Fiona starts the new session of her kindergarten group, she starts receiving mysterious notes claiming a suicide from 2005 was actually a murder. Can her husband find enough reasons to have the "cold files" reopened? Why is the author of these notes targeting her? Is she safe?
This is a very mysterious story, laced with humor and bizarre events. There are several suspects which will truly keep the reader guessing, "Who did it?". Just about the time the reader is sure he/she know the answer, a new twist occurs which causes more doubt. It ends in an unusual way.
The characters are endearing and defined well. The scenes are visualized easily, and the Title and Cover images are chosen well. The story never dragged. Each chapter ended in a way the "egged" the reader on, excited to discover what happened next.
I listed to the audio book. The narrator, Maren Swenson Waxenberg did a wonderful job in voice fluctuation, emphasis and in maintaining the individual "voices". However the voice she used to portray the lead character, Fiona, was very annoying and I didn't feel it ft her character well. Otherwise, she did a great job.
Overall, i gave this audio book a Five Stars rating.
*This book was gifted me with no pressure for a positive review. This is my honest review.
