MY REVIEW: This is an outstanding book in preparation for the Pre-Christmas Season! In this quality hardback book are wonderful ideas to fit any family situation, yet 'Bring Christ Back into Christmas". Although this book is primarily directed at a L.D.S. audience, there are suggestion in each chapter on ways any family can put "Christ back in Christmas". The non-L.D.S. reader can easily improvise to make the suggestions fit his/her own religious life-style. The main object is to spend a few hours, or as little as an half hour, of ones time to create these memories and traditions. There is also a recommendation on each for short journal entering.. The book is set up as an advent calendar, with daily a delicious sounding recipe, activity and Christmas song with words and music score at the end of each chapter. There are also wonderful short stories such as, 'Fifty-six Cents' and 'Hallelujah! The Miracle of Handel's Messiah'. The book conclude with day 24's Nativity event involving both the Bible and the Book of Mormon's account. Then the 25th is centered on Giving. There are some traditional suggestions, but there are also suggestions I have never heard of or thought of. . The writing style of this author, makes reading it, easy! There are wonderful, colorful illustrations containing nostalgic theme. This i a wonderful family keepsake and would make a wonderful gift for any parent! This definitely earns a Five Stars rating. ![]() ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Christie has enjoyed participating in speaking engagements across the country where she loves reminding groups of women that with God, they are not alone and are enough.
