Blurb:
As both a teacher and school principal, Meredith Essalat has lived the daily challenges of helping children navigate through their young lives. She has seen the struggles that parents have as they balance longer working hours with the demands of home life. Essalat offers hard-won pointers, enabling parents, teachers, and students alike to encourage one another while holding everyone accountable for their actions.
Combining humor with straightforward, practical advice, “The Overly Honest Teacher” is a fresh take on 21st century child-rearing and development. The results will be well-adjusted, positive, enthusiastic young adults ready to work hard and take on the world. And isn't that what we all want for our children?

REVIEW By LAWonder10:
Never before has there been a need for increased parenting skills, as is needed now.
Cyber technology is enjoyed by all but it comes with a very dangerous risk to all. Adults sometimes get caught up in the negative aspects of it. Children - especially those entering puberty - are especially vulnerable and at risk.  With the drastically increased  opportunities for predators to infiltrate their young minds and lives. With the new occurrences that happen with puberty, the embarrassed, emotionally immature and curious adolescent often share deep concerns with the clever strangers. I was surprised to learn the 2nd most approached victims are young boys questioning their sexuality.
The author offers imperatively needed parental guidance and non confrontational questions that can be asked in being  involved in the adolescent's' life.
If you wait to read this book until your child is well into his/her teenage years, then you may have waited too long... Elementary age is not too soon!
The only negative aspect of this book is the very small print which is a deterrent.
I offer a Five Stars rating for this book.

*This was gifted me with no pressure fir a positive review. This is my honest review.
