Without hesitation, he and his wife fall in love with Anglo/Asian twin girls and become their adoptive parents. The children grow up in a world of twists and turns with multiple coincidences and synchronicity. Their journey takes them from China to Europe to America and back to China where their unusual birth mother enters their lives. This powerful story is filled with drama at every turn as the daughters face internal and external challenges. The Birth Mother is a story filled with love, pathos, tragedy, and triumph. Read, laugh, cry, and learn. It's a tale you will never forget.

MY Review!(LAWonder10)
This is an captivating, poignant story of overseas adoption by an American couple, of resillience, forgiveness, change, honor, cultural customs, and even rape.

The Birth Mother is a compelling tale is unlike most anything one will soon read.

The "roller coaster" of emotions caused by various events will, certainly, keep the reader involved in this incredible story. (This reviewer is still unable to conclude, at the end of the story, if this is based on real events or totally fiction.) The unusual writing is what was distracting and is responsible for the reason I give it a Four Stars rating instead of a Five Stars rating.

I have not been able to determine whether the author's style was to create humor or an "other-worldly" experience, but it felt like "cold splashes of water" in one's face during an intense scene. However, the story was worth the distraction and very touching.

Rating: Four Stars
