REVIEW by LAWonder10:
The CEO, the Puppy and me is a poignant story about discovering truth, finding one's true self, opening up one's heart, also, of love and forgiveness.

After Gia's parent's deaths, she discovers a hidden journal of her mother's. She is shocked to discover one of the three siblings is not the biological child of their father. Gia was shocked to learn it was she.

Forlorn and determined to discover who her father is, she follows the  only clue she has...an address in another city tucked in the journal, in the place this shocking secret is revealed.

Ric is a successful CEO of his own company. He suffered abandonment by his mother when he was but seven years old. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle. His mother never revealed who his father was. Although he had tried to find him, there was never a clue to lead him to the man. He had fallen for one other woman who ended up leaving him. He swore he would never le another woman have that type of control over him. He seldom even dated. He was a local celebrity and incredibly attractive. He was seriously considering hiring a more involved security.

Ric was informed a young woman was "casing" his deceased uncle's home and yard. He was determined to get rid of the source. He was totally unprepared for the confrontation. Gia was a "force of nature". The unstable relationship evolving between them was viewed by each in a different way. Add an adorable puppy to the mix, and things become even more complicated. The acquired friendship between them reaches a peak, when discoveries and confrontations occur. Will they be able to reach a satisfactory compromise or will they go their separate ways?

The characters are very well defines and seem so alive. The situations are easy to visualize. The only negative reaction I have to this story is, I feel the puppy was included in the title which indicates a stronger role than it played. It would have felt more of a "threesome' with more emphasis on the interactions. The story was quite predictable but had enough "twists" and was such a good idea, it kept the reader's interest.

I offer a strong Four and a Half Stars rating.
This book was gifted me with no pressure for a positive review. This is my honest review.
