REVIEW By LAWonder10:
Kate was a very strong-willed, independent woman. She had to be. Her three brothers had take over as 'fathers' after their mother died and their father just left. Kate loved them and they all looked after each other, but she had to prove she could succeed on her own... That is until she had a confrontation with a cantankerous bull.
Following the Rodeo Circuit, Kate had been far enough away from her brothers, that she was able to keep the seriousness of her injuries away fro her brothers. They had offered her a Foreman position on their dude ranch. What she didn't expect was running into her old boyfriend, Jess, when she got to town. Even more shocking was what she learned when she arrived at the ranch.
This is an excellent story about a group of children who turned a very dysfunctional family life and abandonment, into a positive experience. They grew closer and to care of each other when life gave them "lemons'. Through determination, hard work and the blessing of a ranch their grandfather left them, they became very successful. They deal with the emotional issues resulting from their childhood traumas in a mature and supportive way.
The characters were very endearing and realistic. The scenes were portrayed in a manner that the reader easily felt he/he was there. There is enough intrigue and many "twists" , That Tina Radcliffe, once again, totally captivates the reader's interest.
This has so many great discussion topics, it is a terrific book for a book club to read and discuss.
I offer a Five Stars rating for this book.
