About the book:
Lady Cora Winfield’s life has always gone according to plan–her mother’s plan. So when she meets the dark Duke of Blackdell, Cora is fascinated. Knowing his dangerous reputation, Cora’s mother flatly forbids the match, and the duke decides to take matters into his own hands. Kidnapped and facing a scandal, Lady Cora must now decide whether love will be her downfall or the beginning of a new plan, one she never dreamed possible.
Set in the stormy summer of 1816, this Regency romance is a retelling of the myth of Hades and Persephone.

MY REVIEW:
This is an outstanding tale set in the early 1800's  in England and Scotland. It is one of those magnificent "I just couldn't put it down" books!

Due to a family circumstance, Lady Cora Winfield was unable to participate in her first "Coming out" Season in London. since this was now her third one,
she would like to find someone she could be happy with and get out from underneath the "iron thumb" of her mother.  She must find someone who
would allow and respect her passion.

Duke Adam Douglas of Blackdale was in London on business. He had avoided as many "invitations? as he could until a certain Lady caught his eye.
He then determined to find where she would be in the coming weeks and arrange to get invited to the same events. He failed to discover how strong
 the opposition would be..

This Historical romance is full of intrigue, adventure, suspense, and much more excitement and impassioned twists.
It will keep the reader on the "edge of His/her seat".

The Characters are very endearing and come to life. The scenes are easily visualized.

The Book Title and Cover are very "attention getting" and a good "fit".

The attractive Cover is also created by the author.
