MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10)
This novel is about residents of a small Wyoming town, a group of individuals raised closely together, with bonding relationships, yet, how well do they truly know each other?
As is prevalent in most Wyoming counties, the rodeos were a popular nd important event to many. Weston, Zeb and Cody were no different. However, there was one rodeo which would have lasting effect on several lives. A rodeo where Weston encountered "Baby Face" and one where Cody, the rodeo clown, offered the ultimate sacrifice of love of a friend.
When going through Cody's affects, they discovered Cody had a special long distant romance who was to arrive that very day on the train.
Weston traveled to the train station to pick up Song Phan Rang, after her 10,000 mile journey, only to inform her she would have to return back where she came from. She was a modern day "mail-order bride". She insisted on staying at her intended's residence. A residence not fit for Winter which quickly came.
Weston reluctantly agreed with a proposition, one that soon "back-fired".
This is an entertaining, sometimes touching, tale.
The beginning felt awkward and was difficult for me to continue reading. About one-third into the story i became captivated and it had a very strong ending.
The characters were interesting and diverse. The scenes easily visualized.
The Cover Image and Title are simple, yet, very fitting.
**Reader Beware: There is a lot of profanity used.
I offer a weak Four Stars rating.
