REVIEW By LAWonder10: The Walkers were on a much needed vacation at the Caribbean. What began as a very unique, fascinating trip to a part of the island unknown to most, ended up in a devastating conclusion. Returning to America and their home in Utah, the Walkers felt safe again. Since their vacation was "cut short", they decided to go to their ranch in Idaho to "winterize" it. Little did they know wat they would face there. This was a fast paced novel of a vacation turned for the worse and corrupt individuals. This murder mystery will keep you in suspense until the las page! The characters are well developed and the reader can feel their personalities. They, as well as the scenes, are easily visualized. The Book Cover and Title are very fitting. However, the Cover would not be an "eye-catcher" or a "browser". The story flowed smoothly, with constant suspense to retain the reader's interest. There is some graphic violence but otherwise recommended for YA, also. The only negative I could find in this very well-written novel is, although the story was a great, realistic tale - based on actual events - there as a lack of feeling connected and a part of the tale. It just wasn't a "I just could not put it down" novel. I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating. *This was gifted to me by the publisher with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review. ![]() About E. James Harrison: E.
