WOW! THERE WEW SO MANY BOOKS I READ IN 2019 WHICH WERE TREMENDOUSLY WELL-WRITTEN STORIES, I COULN'T POSSIBLY LIST THEM ALL!! In addition to this dilemma, there were many I didn't get to (a couple I read this month) , that are equally as enjoyable!
What I have done is center on three of many! These awesome authors have agreed to send the LUCKY U.S./Can. WINNER a copy of the highlighted book!
I also have listed a few other which earned a 4 or 5 Stars rating by me.
This first Young Adult book was a gripping tale of a feasible, peculiar life-style after the world, as we know it, drastically changed. Ie was "mind-blowing" that one could actually realize this could happen!
A fresh take on a dystopian storyline, The Undoing is a page-turner with unforgettable characters and an intriguing plot that will keep you hooked from beginning to end.
THE UNDOING: A Young Adult Dystopian Scifi Novel (Book 1 of The Undoing Trilogy) by Desserae Shepston
344 pages | Published February 25th 2019
Rebecca stared hard into the darkness, barely able to make out the outline of the mountain from the light of the moon. She thought about what was behind that mountain. She knew who lived out that way. That was ranchland, worked by the parents of a boy she went to school with. He was a year older than her. Daniel Morgan. She didn't know him other than to recognize him in passing in the halls. He was one to notice. Jet black hair. Green eyes. Gentle smile. Tall and lean and just so perfectly muscular from helping on the ranch. But. He was off-limits. He was of a different social Tier, and those lines could not be crossed. Council was quite clear on this...
Rebecca glanced at her watch. It felt like she'd been waiting for much more than the three minutes that had passed since she first came to the window. 1:59 a.m. Her eyes shifted back to the darkness and the ghost of a mountain in the distance, just as a change started to occur. Jonathan was right...

About Desserae K Shepston:
Desserae K Shepston was born in Montana, but spent her formative years in Champaign, Illinois. She blames her birth place on her affinity for mountain environments. She has lived in Chicago, Garmisch, Germany, Austin, and now, everywhere North America.
Desserae received her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She holds two Masters and a PhD from Texas State University. She left the stationary life and career behind for a life on the road in a 1993 RV, traveling North America with her best friend and four cats, and living her passion for travel and an outdoor life. She wrote her first book, Travel Cats: tips for beginning an rv journey with your feline family after working through the kinks of RV living with cats herself. Her children's book, The Adventures of Gatsby the Travel Cat in Mesa Verde was also inspired by her travels and her most adventuresome cat, really named Gatsby, who seems to have been born for road life.
Desserae has also written a Young Adult Sci-Fi Dystopian novel, The Undoing. This book did not come from her travels, but was born purely from her imagination and a love of YA and Dystopian literature.

Beasts of the Frozen Sun (Frozen Sun Saga #1)
by Jill Criswell
Publication date: August 6th 2019
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult
Synopsis: Burn brightly. Love fiercely. For all else is dust.
Every child of Glasnith learns the last words of Aillira, the god-gifted mortal whose doomed love affair sparked a war of gods and men, and Lira of clan Stone knows the story better than most. As a descendant of Aillira and god-gifted in her own right, she has the power to read people’s souls, to see someone’s true essence with only a touch of her hand.
When a golden-haired warrior washes up on the shores of her homeland–one of the fearful marauders from the land of the Frozen Sun–Lira helps the wounded man instead of turning him in. After reading his soul, she realizes Reyker is different than his brethren who attack the coasts of Glasnith. He confides in her that he’s been cursed with what his people call battle-madness, forced to fight for the warlord known as the Dragon, a powerful tyrant determined to reignite the ancient war that Aillira started.
As Lira and Reyker form a bond forbidden by both their clans, the wrath of the Dragon falls upon them and all of Glasnith, and Lira finds herself facing the same tragic fate as her ancestor. The battle for Lira’s life, for Reyker’s soul, and for their peoples’ freedom has only just begun.

Speaking of Feasibility...! This author has based his novel on some actual events. His writings are substantiated by his profession and degrees! I love his "thriller" novels, because they can easily occur!... Perhaps the are without our knowledge! Read on fo better understanding..
Professor Mitch Pine knows all too well the history of epidemics, so the startling new information he’s discovered has him racing to the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. Mitch has uncovered a startling pattern: dramatic environmental changes always occurred prior to devastating outbreaks, and current climate change may be such a catalyst. But before his plane lands, Mitch’s journey takes a terrifying turn. He is intercepted by a woman who represents a dangerous faction whose interest in Mitch’s research opposes his mission to save lives. To secure Mitch’s cooperation, his research assistant is being held hostage. With so many lives on the line, Mitch embarks on a turbulent trip around the world, uncovering pieces of the puzzle until he ultimately holds the key to prevent—or precipitate—global devastation. Unless he can find a way to stop the lunatics behind his abduction, a plague the likes of which the world has never known will be unleashed.

ABOUT the Author:
Born in Bakersfield, California.
He spent seven months at BYU on a cinematography scholarship, but that didn’t pan out (pun intended). He returned to Santa Barbara and after two years at a research center, he realized an education was the only way to avoid a dead-end career. Over the next four years, he attended Santa Barbara City College, UC Santa Barbara, and BYU majoring in Biological Sciences.
He then attended the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1990, practicing as a pharmacist in Northern California for six months before moving to Logan, Utah in 1991. He is currently the Director of Pharmacy for the Cache Valley Community Health Center in Logan. Throughout his life, he has loved writing. He began his literary career writing and illustrating short stories. His success came with cartoons published in Skin Diver Magazine, the Oceanographic Letter, and several in the New Era. It wasn’t until he graduated from college that he began to write seriously.
His preferred reading genre is science-based thrillers, particularly the works of Robin Cook, Tom Clancy, and Michael Crichton. But I enjoy reading just about anything I get my hands on, fiction and nonfiction, including many LDS authors.
His literary claim to fame is being a finalist for a Whitney Award in 2008 for Do No Harm, in 2009 for Altered State, in 2010 for Blink Of An Eye, in 2011 for Bloodborne, and in 2012 for Deadly Undertakings
