Sanity Lost & Found: A true Story of Brainwashing and Recovery by Tarra Judson Stariell
Nov 15, 2017
(Memoir, abuse, cult, personal growth, inspirational) How do we become victims of our own irrationality? What makes us vulnerable to the predators among us? Why would an otherwise sensitive, intelligent woman allow herself to return again and again to her abuser? How do we stop the erosion of our self-worth?

Simultaneously recognizable and horrifying, we see parts of ourselves and our own vulnerabilities in this compelling story of one woman’s descent into and climb out of the abyss.

For anyone who has ever allowed themselves to be victimized, for
anyone who has ever doubted their value, for anyone wanting to protect their children from such vulnerabilities, SANITY LOST & FOUND is a compelling, informative, and inspirational read that weaves together the how and why for such vulnerabilities and the components necessary for recovery and transformation.

Donuts: The Hole Story by David Miles

Hardcover, 32 pages
Published May 2018 by Familius

Donut cars. Donut trains. Donuts do not make good planes.

In this hilarious ode to the treat with a hole, bright photographic illustrations bring donuts to life like never before! With donut cops (of course), donut pirates (why not), maple bar lumberjacks (eh?), coffee jacuzzis, and a bakeshop full of donut puns, Donuts: The Hole Story is a delicious romp through a world filled with (and made of) everyone's favorite fat-fried friends.

ABOUT David Miles
Many people have urged me to write this book now for decades. I’m not writing it out of reservation, just with the hope that it is taken seriously and with the understanding that nothing I have written has been made up or embellished.
Please take to heart the things that I have brought to light, and, I pray, that you would absorb them into your heart to really be honest with yourself, so that on the day you confront God, you are found to be one of the accepted.

SANGER, Calif., November 7, 2018 – With feathers of green, blue, yellow, purple, and red, the Gouldian Finch is known for its rainbow array of colors. But how did the little bird get to be so vibrant?

In the new children’s book How the Finch Got His Colors, the origin story of the Gouldian Finch is told through timeless prose and beautiful illustrations. First time children’s author Annemarie Guertin bases the tale on a Belgian folktale, bringing the bird’s tale into the 21st century.

More than just a nice story, How the Finch Got His Colors also teaches children the power of patience and the beauty of all creatures.

I love summer and a quiet beach would be perfect. Many years ago when I was very young we visited a wonderful beach in Maine which I loved. Old Orchard Beach.
