Doctor Marsha is a series created to entertain children at the preschool through grade school level relying on educational content. The main character, Marsha, will introduce kids to exciting challenges in basic health education as the series explores the world, vanquishing health problems. It is my hope that the characters will stimulate young minds by introducing them to a positive, professional figure that embodies the spirit of cultural competence, creativity, and adventure.

REVIEW By LAWonder10:
For Parents and educators who want to instill the importance of good eating habits, environment awareness, and service, this is a great book! t contains some "goofy" characters which will surely be entertaining to very young children.
The age recommendation is 3 to 8 years. I feel the children under 5 wuld find this too wordy and beyond their understanding. Much of the dialogue is for older elementary aged, yet the book pictures are to juvenile for those past 9 0r 19 years of age, I would recommend from ages 5minimum to the age of 9 or 10 years.
The book is informative and encouraging of good habits but felt "choppy" in content and not totally related.
The illustrations are very well done and colorful. The characters show much expression and are very cute.
I offer a 3 1/2 Stars rating.
This book was gifted me with no pressure to pos a positive review. This is my honest review.
Focusing on good health in uncertain times By Rachel Wellner, MD
Doctoroo and Friends is a series dedicated to teaching kids from pre-school to grade school about basic health issues and maintenance. I use the format of a mystery followed by a global trip Doctoroo and friends take to solve that mystery to enhance the excitement of "catching the culprit" and teaching kids the basic health lesson. My first two books are about good nutrition and hand hygiene respectively and a third book I’m currently writing, is about sun protection.
As a physician, I know a great deal about health problems, how to diagnose them and solve them. Basically, the mystery is a "differential diagnosis" as Doctoroo first rules out other causes of the problem at hand until the clues lead her to the right conclusion. I love kids and want to see them grow up healthy and happy, especially in these precarious times of a pandemic - I chose to focus on what we CAN do, not what we can't, to help maintain and improve our health, starting with the youngest young.
I'm finding that just getting the book out there and sharing Doctoroo and friends with the world is challenging, but the books are starting to gain traction, which warms my heart. I believe in these adorable, noble characters and hope that everyone can reap the benefits of reading about them.
