I highly recommend Gabe's Guardian Angel to all youth ages 8 to 18 and educators/guardians!!
Beverly McClure has captured so many youth dilemmas in this one  short novel.

Gabe and his sister, Lindy have many challenges they face daily. Their mother died after the birth of Lindy. Their father abandoned them. Their maternal grandfather took them in and gave them much love. Since the grandfather was not educated, he had to find whatever work he could. They moved to a small town, lived in a small house and the grandfather worked three jobs. Gabe did odd jobs for others to help with the bills thee best he could.

Gabe was slightly overweight and dreaded school for many reasons. One particular day at school with a very painful incident, changed Gabe's life forever.

The topic in this story addresses integrity, bullying, abandonment, reaching
out, true friendship, family relationships, abuse, supreme assistance, dyslexia, obesity, non-judgement  and so much more.

The characters are well developed and seem to be alive and real! The scenes are portrayed to a pint the reader can experience the feeling of being there. The Cover and Title are  eye-catching and depicts the story well.

This is an uplifting, yet true to life story.
I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating.
This book was gifted me with no pressure for e a positive review. This is my honest review.
