An over-achieving teenager in New York City, Luna Johnson, discovers that she is a medium and starts to crack from seeing ghosts everywhere. When she confides in her psychologist parents, they assume it’s a mental health crisis and move the family to the small town of Doodstad, which, unbeknownst to them, is the most haunted town in America.
Back to hiding her powers from her parents, Luna sets out to learn more about ghosts along with what being a medium truly entails. As she begins to fall in deeper with the post-life crowd in Doodstad, mysterious forces are keen to stop Luna from helping the ghosts.
REVIEW by LAWonder10:
At the beginning of this audiobook, I was tempted to turn it off and mark it as ridiculous. I am glad that I didn't. As the production progressed the story became more mysterious and comical
It ended expectantly and kept the listener/reader trying to solve the mystery until the very end.
The characters were diverse and yet, mostly endearing. They were well portrayed and felt very real. The scenes easily drew the listener/reader into them and it was easy to feel a part of the different scenarios.
All the "voices" did a very good portrayal of the individual he/she represented.
This would have earned a Five stars if the beginning was stronger and more captivating, slowly launching into the silly actions of the various characters and their "strange" behaviors. It was too overwhelming at first.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
