Gone by Nightfall - Dee Garretson
What a wonderful historical fiction. It is obvious all of the time and research that went into writing this story. It is very well-written.
I truly enjoyed learning more about that time in Russia. It is an excellent way to learn more about the Russian Revolution. I love knowing the author researched real people and their lives to pull all the information together to bring it all to life. It is an interesting and learning experience for her readers.
The characters are well-developed and are easy to follow and to feel their emotions. I was in tears several times throughout the story. I can't begin to imagine what it would have been to live through what they experienced.
The story flows well from chapter to chapter and is easy to follow along.
I highly recommend this story to others who enjoy learning history through a wonderful story of hardship and love.
I give this book a literary rating of 5/5
