Her only hope of surviving is to travel to America, a land of freedom and opportunity, and reunite with her brother in Baltimore. There she'll find new challenges, and perhaps, if she can put her painful past behind her, a new chance for love and lasting happiness. Goodreads Purchase: Amazon MY REVIEW: (LAWonder10) This is an outstanding novel, based on a true story! Stella has served others her whole life, having nothing of her own and barely surviving. Living in War Torn Poland - occupied by Russian military- the people are struggling to merely survive. Her dream is to join the two brothers who left to America. It seems hopeless until everything comes miraculously together, America is better, but not as much as Stella thought it would be. Can she learn to trust or follow a different path? The characters are described well and are mostly real. The scenes are portrayed in a way it is easy to visualize. The Book Title was chosen well, but the Cover was very plain and would never catch a "browser's" interest. It would be much more eye-catching if the dimmed-out objects in the Cover background were more pronounced. The story smoothly flowed from one page to another, filled with adventure and a little suspense. This is a great story for the whole family! I rate it as a Four and a Half Stars success! *This book was gifted me with no request for a positive review. This is my honest review.
