One boy, Dura. A magic sword, the Sword of Jhas. Can Dura save the primitive land of Jhas with a sword, fighting against repeating rifles, jets, and bombs? Or will he die trying?
Dura knows a sword can't defeat rifles, but he cares too much to give up. He can't stand to see his people get hurt. When a messenger calls, Dura flies to the rescue, alone, with only the sword.
He's stubborn enough to try to help. Will he die, or is there still magic in Jhas?

Action, adventure, airplanes, and fantastic characters fill this fast-paced, magical novel.

MY REVIEW:(LAWonder10)
This was a fantastic , fast moving adventure which will delight all readers ages 13+!
This story is of a remote area of the world which abides most of the medieval traditions with a growing awareness of all the strange new wonders of defense  tools in the world outside of Jhas.  It is a combination of a world with varying stages of advancement at one period of time.

Prince Dura and his companions are adventurous and not beyond breaking rules for those adventures and in discovering new things.

Jhas is being threatened by other kingdoms with advanced, miraculous weapons. Prince Jhas was trained as the ancients in sword warfare and physical endurance. However, even among his best friends, there is a division.

Jhas is called to save villages in his kingdom under attack. He desires the Keeper's blessing but it is withheld from him. Dura went against protocol and used the air "beasts' to get to the villages in time to help.

This is an amazing story the reader will not be able to predict.

It is a story of loyalty, of forgiveness, humility and becoming united in special causes.
It portrays the importance of learning from one another and accepting change.

The characters are very realistic and some are endearing. The scenes are constantly changing, yet, easily visualized. The Cover is effective yet simple but could better attract the browser if thee were a few more images.
This never drags and is very captivating.
I offer a Five Stars rating for this totally clean", interesting book..
*This was gifted me with no expectations for a positive review. This is my honest review
