Often a writer’s second book of a series pales slightly next to the original. However, I feel Author, Deedee C ummings’ second book in the “Nick” series is even better than the first!
Nick and Cooper are best friends. They are often together day and night and do many adventures together.
This year, Cooper is allowed to spend Christmas Eve on a “sleepover” at Nick’s home. During the night, Nick makes a startling discovery.
This is a wonderful Christmas story that forgets about racial differences and unites all children and “Santas” together in love and peaceful nature. It is how the world should be…United.
This was a thoughtful, well-written story that should be shared with all ages. It is a wonderful book available for the Christmas Season. It is not centered on Christianity but on uniting all people of all beliefs and colors.
The Illustrations are very colorful and nice. However, they are created in a cartoonish manner, of which I am not a fan of. (But that is a personal issue and should not reflect on the art choices of the two individuals involved.) The illustrations are colorful and eye-catching. They will surely please the audience reading the book. The artist, Charlene Mosley, is quite talented.
I highly recommend this book, particularly during the Holiday Season.

Deedee is a professional dreamer. She is also an author, therapist, attorney, and mom from Louisville, Kentucky. The books she writes focus on hope, diversity, social justice, and therapeutic skills for children and adults. Charlene works as a freelance, independent artist on several projects, such as murals, private commissions, and book illustrations with clients.
