Gage (Angelbound Offspring, #8)
by Christina Bauer

Published by: Monster House Books
Publication date: June 28th 2022
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

Book Description:

Gage runs the L’Griffe, AKA the dragon shifter mafia on Earth. Since the human realm has no supernatural police, the L’Griffe do more than loan money or sell contraband. When it comes to dragon shifters, the L’Griffe are the law. And Gage isn’t the only sheriff in town, either. Other secret groups have their own gangs, including ghouls, demons, and everything in between. It’s an awkward balance, but it works.

Until the demons consolidate into the Horde. This alliance plans to take over Earth, and that’s just for starters.

Now Gage must build his own connections to fight this new threat. Fortunately, Gage’s true love, Huntress, comes from a family of superhuman warriors. All of them agree to team up and put down the Horde. Success seems just around the corner.

Then the truth becomes clear.

Thanks to magical cloning, the Horde is led by an old enemy of Huntress’ family—one that everyone thought had been destroyed forever. Now their archnemesis is back and more powerful than anyone could have imagined.

Looks like defeating these demons may also destroy Gage, Huntress, and everyone they love.

Don’t miss the exciting conclusion to the Angelbound Offspring Series!

ANGELBOUND OFFSPRING1. Maxon2. Portia3. Zinnia4. Rhodes5. Kaps6. Mack7. Huntress8. Gage* This is a completed series.

Perfect for teen and young adult readers who want their book series to deliver: badass world building, angels, demons, paranormal romance, fresh themes from contemporary fiction, LOL romantic comedy, gods and goddesses, dark fantasy, strong girls and women as heroines, themes about loners and outcasts, the best laughs in humorous literature, general coming of age whackery, and (most importantly) truly unusual epic fantasy.

My Book Signing Horror Stories By Christina Bauer, Author

As part of the launch tour for my new book, GAGE, the lovely folks at Rockin’ Book Reviews have asked me to share my book signing horror stories. I’ve decided to put them into a top ten list, because that’s just how I roll.

CAVEAT: I’m lucky to be an author and have book signings at all. Being bitchy about them is bad karma. That said, fuck it.

Without further ado, here are my top ten book signing horror stories:

Number Ten. Excuse me…

During book signings, I often get asked where the bathroom is. I guess I just have that kind of face.

Number Nine. No, thanks.

One time, I spent twenty minutes talking about my book with this lady. At the end, I asked if she wanted a signed copy. She said, “No, you just looked so sad and alone, I thought I’d talk to you.” And then she ran off. It was just that awesome.

Number Eight. Gotta run.

I’m a private person. When my then-boyfriend and his family came to my signing, it was a bit overwhelming. Then my ex-boyfriend showed up with his family. I hid in the bathroom until the latter group left.

Number Seven. Have a coupon.

I had a signing at Starbucks and they felt sorry for my lack-o-sales. I tried to explain that unless you’re a movie star, you just greet whoever comes by. I got a bunch of coupons for pity coffee. I enjoyed them all.

Number Six. Diaper, please.

I had a signing with my then-baby son. I figured no one’s around, I can just change his diaper here. Oops.

Number Five. Why not buy this?

In one singing, the store owner kept dropping off books my by competitors while openly suggesting I read them since they were better.

Number Four. Mine!

In most of my corporate signings, I steal all the sharpies. I’m a little bitch that way.

Number Three. Woof

One time, a dog stole my book off the signing table and ran away with it. My only real regret is that I didn’t get the whole thing on camera.

Number Two. Buh bye

“I don’t want to buy your book, but can you tell me how to get published?” I talked for ten minutes, then pretended I got a call.

Number One. So nice I’m listing it twice

Getting asked for bathroom directions really is the pits.

So, there you have it: my top ten book signing nightmares! Hope you enjoyed this and I look forward to seeing you on a future tour.

Meet the Author:

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too.

Christina graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School with BA’s in English along with Television, Radio, and Film Production. She lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.
