Tour dates: June 5 to June 23, 2023

Book Description:

What would you do if a naked alien materialized in front of you amid a ball of swirling winds and colored lights? Would you freeze, run away, scream, hit it, or try to communicate?

And what would you think if you discovered these aliens not only come from a different universe but are also far more intelligent than humans and vastly superior technologically?

Martin O’Brien leaves his native Ireland to chase the dream of love, but things go awry. Before he can return home, he becomes involved with the sudden appearance of aliens. This strange anomaly begins with a few “lightshows,” as the press dubs them, but quickly becomes a flood of millions.

The aliens call themselves Embrians. Human reactions range from murdering them for sport to using them for slave labor to worshipping them as gods.

Martin meets Jennifer Daniels, a pregnant young lady struggling to deal with her alcoholism. Together, they treat, harbor, and befriend a wounded alien named Vanya, but their kindness puts them at risk of being arrested.

Not all Embrians are docile and cooperative. Their leader, Vahlion, threatens to conquer America if his demands are not met. Because Embrians are so advanced, the threat is more than real. It is a certainty!

Review by LAWonder10:

When I first began reading ‘Infall’ I was slightly confused between the “other world” situation and the happenings on Earth. Once I continued delving into the book, the foundation the author was setting soon became clear.

This is a scenario that is not too far-fetched. The plot points out the various types of personalities and levels of humanity the people of the earth have. Some are inhumane and others are full of compassion. Still, others fall somewhere in between the two extremes.

It is a story that does not need to be strictly read with sci-fi in mind. It is a story we humans can relate to in many ways. I found myself reflecting on how this situation could be dealt with if, in fact, it occurred.

This is also a story that inspires inward self-reflection. It can help us to view unusual situations in a more objective, positive manner.

I am excited to read further books of this series – if in fact, it is a series. If it isn’t, then the ending is incomplete.

The characters are well-developed and realistic. The scenes are described in a way they are easily visualized.

I offer a Four Stars rating for this book.

This book was gifted me with no pressure to post a positive review. This is my honest review.

Guest Post:

Ah, science fiction! The far future. Great technological advances. Terraformed worlds. Humans living in space colonies or on other planets. Rocket ships flying around in the great vacuum between heavenly bodies, even defying the speed-of-light barrier. Right? Well, not necessarily.

While most of the novels in the genre deal with the future, from a few years to centuries or millennia from now, some science fiction stories occur in the present. My novel, Infall, is one of these. It is set in today’s ordinary life, people doing what they do each day, often almost on autopilot. Suddenly, without warning, everything changes. Things we take for granted are thrown into question, thrown beyond the questions. And it could happen in our world at any minute.

Governments and politicians jump into action out of fear, without enough knowledge to make informed decisions. Or, perhaps more likely, are frozen into inaction either to avoid looking stupid to the rest of the world or because they cannot devise a workable plan to contain the situation.

What would you do if you were the President of the United States and aliens began materializing around us in the millions? How would you protect the American people? There is no track record to follow, no precedent with a standard protocol. It would be “seat-of-the-pants” every step of the way.

As President of our country, you attempt to find answers to the questions. You scramble for solutions to the mounting problems presented by millions upon millions of aliens. Then you discover that these seemingly docile beings are technologically far superior to humans, that they could destroy our civilization if they so desired. They could neutralize our massive military arsenal, and there would be absolutely nothing we could do about it.

How could you react to such a threat? How could the governments of the world react? Would you consider the aliens so docile that you could ignore their technological capabilities? And could you and all the world governments afford to take that chance?
