But before she can leave, she finds herself swept up in an intrigue that makes her question everything she thinks she knows about her father. Is he a traitor or a hero? The only way to find out is to put her own life on the line.

Review By LAWonder10:
The Dockor’s Daughter is the exciting, informative continuation of Doctor Gerhard Meyer’s daughters, Amelie and Gigi, along with other extended family and close friends.
When tragedy hits, Amelie, Gigi, and Tante Madeleine must return to Germany. It is unsafe for any Jew in Germany during World War ll. Their only chance for safety is most do not know they are Jewish and they are Paris citizens. Still, it is not safe for anyone to visit for a prolonged time.
Amelie is presented with an opportunity to discover more about her father. Should she accept it, knowing it could cost her her life?
This is a short, fast-paced novel for youth depicting the onset of the Nazi’s and Hitler’s rule in Germany. It is a part of history all youth should know about for it can happen again.
It is a story of one girl’s bravery and strength. It is about fear and lack of freedom.
This is also about the good in many people while those who fall under the evil deceptions seem to rule. It surely will encourage youth to be strong and to have the moral courage to do the right thing, even when it isn’t popular.
I recommend this not only for older elementary age through young adults ages but for adults as well. It is a quick reminder of how easily deceitful, lying leaders can steal one’s freedom and humanity.
The characters do not feel fictitious and the scenarios are portrayed well. the Book Title is a good fit and the Cover image is simple but depicts the story well.
I offer Five Stars rating.
This book was gifted me with no pressure to post a positive review. This is my honest review.
